The Hickory Crawdads defeated the Asheville Tourists again tonight by a score of 2-0 at L.P. The Hickory Crawdads defeated the Asheville Tourists in the first of a 2-game home series by a score of 8-5 at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory.  Hickory is holding on to a 3.5 game lead over Lake County in the Northern Division of the South Atlantic League with just 6 games left in regular [...]

Another 3 hour 21 min game last night.  The umpires have to do something to move the game along.  At the very least keep guys in the box and make the strike zone a little larger than a postage stamp.

More on the game tomorrow, but fans will want to know that Stephen MacFarland was traded to the San Francisco Giants.  He was the player to be named later in the Matt Morris trade.  He has been assigned to Salem-Kizer (OR) in the Northwest League.
